I had the amazing privilege this year to photograph Dance Marathon, put on by the Pediatric Aids Coalition at UCLA. Students fundraise for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Camp Kindle, and the UCLA AIDS Institute, and then dance (or at least stay awake and on their feet) for 26 straight hours. I've only had a small part in this event before this year (I joined and "moraled" for just 5 hours my freshman year), and I had no idea what an amazing experience photographing it would be. Every event, from the crazy team color wars to hearing kids affected by HIV and AIDS speak about their experiences, was incredible. I danced, I laughed, I cried, and I got to capture beautiful moments. Thank you to PAC @ UCLA for allowing me to be a part.
